Yep, I feared this. The Andy Reid honeymoon period is officially over here. He's now been completely exposed for the overrated hire and poor talent evaluator that he always was. Alex Smith isn't Donovan McNabb, he won't save Andy.

The NFL is consolidating its mediocrity.
"Kansas City CANNOT have a franchise QB. And Alex Smith is too mediocre for a premier team. Hmm... two birds and I only have this one stone. What to do..." |
Alex Smith is still a good QB. Good, not great, not elite, and this deal is a huge blow of chunks! #34 alone is way too much, bu they get a mid-round conditional next year too? Geez....
|
If we traded #34. I'll be pissed. There will be some great talent there in that spot.
**** ME. |
ESPN just said the 49ers might just sign Cassel to be the backup.
So they traded their Cassel for 2nd round pick + another high pick in 2014 and are getting our Cassel for nothing. We're getting RAPED. |

I'd prepared myself for Alex Smith. But not at this price. I said I was willing to give this new regime the benefit of the doubt; that I'm not a professional like these guys are supposed to be. I said I was willing to give Pioli a three year buffer to see what he could do before I judged him. Then the Cassel trade happened and I shortened it to two years. But I had a really bad feeling.
This feels like Deja Vu. I want to trust these guys. But I'm starting to feel like a battered wife, making excuses and coming back for more again and again and again and again... Draft day will determine a lot for me. |
God I hate this ****ing team.:banghead:

Might as well of resigned contract for Matt Cassel, I mean what difference does it really make. :(
