It's like the old prick on twitter that keeps talking about the heat for the chiefs.

Marcedes Lewis - TE - Jaguars
Marcedes Lewis (calf) was held out of Thursday's practice. The absence comes after Lewis cut his Wednesday session short, and is an ominous sign for his Sunday status. Barely a TE2 to begin with, Lewis won't be playable if he doesn't return on Friday and earn at least a "questionable" tag. You can do better for Week 1. |
Anyone heard if Asamoah practiced today? Jacksonville has this DT named Sen'Derrick Marks who was balling in the preseason. I'm already a little worried about him kicking Allen's ass and we don't need Schwartz in there too.

The Steelers had just James Harrison, and Lamar Woodley for YEARS as primary pass rushers. The 49ers have Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks who play 95 percent of the teams snaps. Really really over blown. |

Jacksonville has a new coach and has had a long time to prepare for us. I wonder if they'll use Dennard Robinson as a QB and run some crazy formations with him and Ace Sanders? We have no idea what they will do on offense but, we do know they'll do something other than just give the ball to MJD.
and on defense their front seven is pretty good. I don't think this will be a blowout but, I do think it will be a solid win. This is one of the few games Jacksonville probably think they can win. I'm thinking 20-7 Chiefs. |
23-20 Jags.

Blaine Gabbert (thumb) remained limited in Thursday's practice.
Coach Gus Bradley believes Gabbert is "progressing positively," but it's still possible he ends up a game-time decision for Sunday's opener. It's an unideal scenario for the Jaguars, who wanted to avoid another quarterback controversy between Gabbert and Chad Henne. Gabbert will likely earn a "questionable" tag on Friday's injury report, but most signs suggest he'll be ready. |
