I think we really need to take a full series sweep against these guys to go on a good stretch. This good stretch won't happen though if Billy, Mouse, and maybe Gordon don't start finding another level. It's really aggravating seeing Mouse n Billy repeat their failures at-bat after at-bat.

The Royals did it. They might have ended Lucas Harrell's major league career.

Didn't get to watch, was at friends. But did get to listen. Ventura is going to be a stud to watch every 5th day.

Keep it going tomorrow.

Astros calling up top prospect George Springer for tomorrows game. Harrell has been dfa'd

How does MLB allow the Astros to put this type of shit on the field and have such a pitiful low payroll? What the hell happened to this once respectable franchise anyways?

Nolan Ryan must be rolling over in his bed.

Houston fans asking the same thing about the Royals over the last 3 decades

They took tanking to a whole new level and now the farm system appears loaded. That's the only positive. Their owner definitely comes across like a cheap-ass

It's an excellent example of an approach Keith Law has championed... either be excellent or terrible. If you're not going to have a great team, you're best served being really bad, protecting as much service time as possible, and stockpiling higher draft choices.

Springer is the first of many good players on the way. Jon Singleton, Carlos Correia, Mark Appel, Lance McCullers, Mike Foltynewicz...

It's a tough approach to sell to a fanbase (as attendance has shown), but it does help build the farm system up quite a bit.

As much as I bitch, I'll tip my hat to Ventura. So far he's been total NAILS and has made the loss of Santana a lot less painful.

I hope he stays nails, and stays a Royal..

He will eventually even out to career norm. But as long as he keeps his team in the game and remains an innings eater, I'm more than ok with him.
