Personally... these games are controlled by the officials. I think the only players actually involved have been vetted..and are the very top superstars. Brady, Manning, Rodgers...shit, Brady owns a company the Patriots use for services. They have already met their goals...its about creating a dynasty and owning a team in the future....look at Jordan. It's why the owner's take so much time when fielding offers for a franchise...the "good old boys" club.

Please read my above examples again. No one said calling it entertainment means it's fixed

Actually several people have been saying that here on CP for a long time. Rabblerouser for example. This is a long standing discussion here on CP, noob.

Vegas and the owners always win. The refs and players are pawns to the end result. The fans just get shit on.

Cam looks real upset about it...?

Please read my above examples again. No one said calling it entertainment means it's fixed but people aren't entertained if they don't like the outcome. No one wants to see your band if the music sucks. I can safely guarantee that if these outcomes weren't fixed or manipulated one way or another,it would be no more popular than hockey with more various local than national interest

Right, because no playoff games or Super Bowls have ever been blow outs.

Explain Seattle winning? They sucked for decades. I don't think the league forced Tolbert to fumble or Cam to miss open receivers or Manning to turn it over twice.

I think the Broncos got incredibly lucky this year. No real injuries going into the playoffs, Pats blowing HFA, Steelers losing Brown and their 5th string RB fumbling the ball when all they had to do was not **** up, The best kicker in the game missing his only PAT in like 500 attempts.

"The harder I work, the luckier I get."

in between those things, Denver's defense played historically well against three of the best QBs in the game, and the offense didn't turn the ball over.

But sure. Luck. Whatever helps you girls sleep at night.

If this story ever did surface, I would actually be happy that all that heart break was BS, and not complete shit luck, and would never watch another game. I'm sure there are millions of fans who would never spend another dime on anything football, and would not be happy like me, but be pissed and never spend another penny.

Sounds like a good risk to take when your league would still make billions without rigging anything.

Info has come out over the years(I own three books on the subject) but c'mon what NFL fan really wants to believe it,I sure as hell don't because I love the game too much.

I do however read what I can on the subject and try and keep an open mind on what's being presented to me.Hell Tim Green a former Falcon and FOX analyst even wrote a book called The Dark Side Of The Game which has a chapter about the NFL and the mob and how every year the players have to sit through meetings of getting involved with the wrong people.

The best read of all though is INTERFERENCE:HOW ORGANIZED CRIME INFLUENCES PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL by Dan Moldea and in that book it's all about the money, the gambling and interestingly enough there's only one team that has a chapter solely dedicated to them and the name of that chapter is The Kansas City Shuffle.

Here's a recent video and if nothing else please listen to Olbermann for the first 30 seconds or so.

Your response shows confusion as to what's being talked about.

ROFL

Maybe not huge but damn NFL you think you could have assigned someone that didn't live in Denver.

From Super Bowl 50 comes a strange postscript that could have become a major problem for the NFL. Via TheBigLead.com, the wife of the game’s replay assistant attended the game as a fan of the Broncos.

Jimmy Oldham reportedly is a Denver-area resident. His wife donned a Broncos jersey for the game and posted a celebratory video to a public Facebook page.

That's the only part that has any merit whatsoever.

And hey, none of the other owners, like Al Davis or Jerry Jones cared that it's rigged.

Jerry Jones doesn't care that his teams never get to win in the POs.

Completely broke ex-players don't care about driving used cars when they are sitting on a multi-million dollar story.

Jerry Jones doesn't care because he makes money.

Some ex-players HAVE alluded to the game being rigged (from Bubba Smith on down to Terrell Suggs), but Sports pages are about the only thing that sells newspapers these days, and the NFL is a large part of that.

Why would a media conglomerate (like, say, ABC/ESPN/Disney/Time Warner) run an expose on its own cash cow?? They're in the business of MAKING money, lol

Its ****ing amazing, a bunch of gangsters start a football league with games to be played on Sundays...because horse betting is illegal on Sundays. When you realize why the NFL was started, who started it and what it was started with, the pieces fall together.

Perhaps you'd better start at the beginning...

I do occasionally wonder if the holding penalty on Dave Szott in the 1990 playoff vs. the Dolphins was riggage.
