I feel bad for Nigeria, that handball was a 50/50 gift from the ref. Had the game been 2-1 for ARG at that point, I bet he awards NIG a PK. I say that because the handball deflection, in the box, deflected the ball away from an awaiting NIG player who would have had an easy goal.

And **** Messi, he's no Ronaldo...

On the flip side, I thought the PK they did award earlier in the game was very soft. I don't think 2 PKs for those 2 plays would be just.

Point made. But soccer has the same issue the NFL has with arbitrary calls, and selective "letting them play" times of the game.

Wait, what did I miss. It came off the ARG's head, onto his arm (away from the NIG player who very well might have scored), and wasn't played by a NIG player.

The only shot NIG got (that went in) was a PK for having been raped in the box on a CK...

It's a tough comparison. Messi has superior skills. Ronaldo is a superior specimen.

Kind of like Lebron v Curry, except soccer equalizes particular traits more effectively and is more of a team sport.
