BBC co-commentator David Coulthard points out that Lewis Hamilton's wheels were locked so it is "not accurate" to say brakes failed. He adds that Sachskurve, where Hamilton crashed, can catch a driver out but Hamilton is "not in the habit of throwing the car off."

Hamilton will start Sunday's Hungarian GP from the pitlane as Merc will need to rebuild his chassis following qualifying.

Hamilton is on his fourth power unit and Rosberg has three power units left. Although, I could be wrong.

Hungaroring is traditionally a difficult circuit to overtake - but with the speed advantage of Mercedes this season, Hamilton should make up time in the pits. Nevertheless, Merc cars are proving to be unreliable.
