It was so good I had to make it again. I love this kind of salsa, it gives it some heat and I really like the darker color it gives. Almost like a brown chile verde sauce. I'm using 1 packet of McCormick "hot" flavored taco seasoning.

I'm on a strict Salsa Tatemada kick right now. The green tomatoes, fire roasted peppers and onions has the best taste of any salsa out there. Just love it. I urge anyone not aware to give it a shot.

I didn't do the chicken tikka masala last weekend, so doing it today. Make a few change ups, including smoked paprika and I took my blow torch and charred the outside of the yogurt marinated chicken.

This is very similar to what you're describing. The heat is perfect, has a little kick, but not too much. I like most of my foods spicy anyways, helps speed up metabolism as well.

Why? Lock in the juices or something?

If you give me your recipe I'll take a stab.

No, just gives a nice smokiness to the recipe. This is a different version than the Cook's Illustrated one I usually do, and they start with marinating the chicken in yogurt, then cooking under the broiler to char it. I'm doing the same thing, except a lot quicker so I don't cook the chicken.

This is the base recipe. I do recommend taking the time to do the optional directions - cooking the onion, blooming the spices, marinating the chicken.

Really tasty. Clay, would probably even work with your frozen chicken.

Needs some texture. Thinking about pulling a play from Massaman chicken and adding some cashews.

Dinner for mama on Saturday night was my Cioppino (seafood stew) served in a sourdough bread bowl I actually poured more of the soupy base over the bread bowl after the picture, but it didn't show all the seafood in there (littleneck clams, lobster, shrimp, scallops, cod, and crab legs).

Then last night it was quite a bit lighter, with a kale soup. It's garnished with kale chips I made and a small bit of bacon.

both were great, but I'm not so good with pics

Love Cioppino. Haven't had it since I moved though.

I've never actually found it before. I stopped by the Atlanta Whole Foods this afternoon before heading back home and there it was. I bought a couple bottles.
