Big guns. In a Mizzou thread, nonetheless, not that any KU fan cares.

You don't have to care to state the truth.

Although I do care at times.

Haith and MU's pettiness is what makes me chuckle. Guess we all get a laugh this afternoon.

A vote for Hoiberg does not equal pettiness. Now if Haith had voted for Rick Barnes or Billie Gilliespie, you might have an argument.

You are assuming pettiness with no proof. Typical dumbass post from you.

Leafs fans can be pretty bad. Don Cherry went off on Brian Burke the other night in a pretty funny rant for not having any Ontario players (who cares where the players come from if they're talented?) and Leafs fans ran with that as if it was a perfectly rational thought.

Lots of games to play. That is the best part of all this. I am having a hard time even giving much of a shit about the tourn because its just more sideshow to the real thing.

Yep. I want a final four more than anything (I want a national championship in football too, but we are talking bball). They could skip the conference tournaments and go straight to the big dance and I would be okay with that....I am sure I will have more interest in the Big XII tourney on Thursday once Mizzou is playing again.

KC_Connection 03-05-2012 04:03 PM

I've learned over time that you should enjoy every win you get (even in conference tournaments that have little meaning overall) because once you get to the real tournament every team's season ends in sadness and frustration except one.

I am going to enjoy the Big XII tourney, no doubt, but this season has a chance to be very special (it is already been special so far) for Mizzou, and most Mizzou fans are keeping their eyes on the prize so to speak.

You still don't get it. Haith would not have been named COY by the coaches even if he won in the Phraud.

This whole situation just makes the Big Leftover schools look like insecure little bitches. I love it.

Maybe if Haith would have beat KSU in the Paige?

I don't know why everyone is so upset about this.

MU just had the best year in it's history and has a real chance to make some noise. Your coach didn't get voted Coach of the year, probably because schools are butthurt or thought Hoiberg or Self did a better job.

I'm happy for the guys who won the awards, but without more wins in March, these mean little.

But Kansas fans...its an incredible percentage. Incredible. Oh the fun it is to read on twitter. A bunch of cowards with no belief in their good team pissing down their legs.

CoMoChief 03-05-2012 05:16 PM

If Haith would have won in the Phog, won the Big12 then he would have gotten COTY and Self wouldn't have. It's that simple.

But he didn't. And MU fans are crying about it.

There are arguments as to why Self deserves it, and there are arguments as to why Haith deserves it. (IMO Self deserves it every year until someone knocks them off).

The COTY award many times isn't the "Most improved team" award.
