Given that they're dead last, and expected to be our downfall in the playoffs, perhaps this could be the message to them this week. I think many of them, including Berry, know that being picked up by another team isn't realistic, so they either play their hearts out and defy the critics, or this is more than likely their last time playing in the NFL. A 17-14 loss would NOT enact this defensive apocalypse, but a 54-51 loss would.
It's up to them if they want to sacrifice what's needed to win, but to not simply has them seeking a new NFL job, or puts them in the traditional job market.

That would be why I qualified it with "many of them". And yes, Houston is one of those who could find work in the NFL.
I suspect those who know they can get other work in the NFL might be looking for Bob to be gone before they seek negotiating with the Chiefs about a way to find that other work. I'm thinking Jones, Bailey, Houston, Ford and (maybe ) Nnadi fall into that group. IOW, I think all of them could play on other NFL teams. Nobody in the secondary, including Berry, can reasonably fall into that group right now. Berry because he's too fragile, and the others might be able to gamble on other teams buying their previous records while throwing Bob's system under the bus, but I doubt many NFL teams would buy it.
But hey, that's JMO.
