He's missed at least five putts inside of five feet this week. That's why he's gonna lose.

The guy is the worst putter under pressure relative to his talent I've ever seen. Scott Hoch was worse overall, but Mickelson is leading the PGA Tour in putting this year and he was probably one of the ten worst putters in the field this week.

The shot on 13 was equally horrid...I mean so bad. Why he was trying to hit a low slinging draw there I will never know...

With as few putts as Phil made all week, I'm surprised he was in it this long.

Heck if he'd just hit all his lip outs today alone, Phil would win.

With the way Phil plays, it's pretty remarkable that he's been able to contend in US Opens 6 times.
