Hard to say. It's not a realistic debate anyway we gotta address the NT position. Franklins the guy.

I think there's going to be some fan backlash about the release and the best way to minimize that is to sign someone the fanbase can get excited about.

I don't think Pioli gives a damn.

Maybe, please point them out. If your point is I should be worried about who will start at Corner for the Chiefs in 2016, then no, it's not a reading comprehension problem. I'm pretty sure we can draft, develop, or sign a Brandon Carr equivalent before saying goodbye to Nnamdi after a nice, dominant run with the NFL's top secondary.

I wouldn't bet against that. I think we have enough money to pick up Columbo and Franklin both though.

I don't think he does, but I think public perception is very important to Clark.

Big night in tampa Bay. Bucs reach agreements with RG Davin Joseph (7 years), RT Jeremy Trueblood (2 years) and P Michael Koenen (6 years).

I know it's not a problem now, but if Nnamdi is getting 15 mil a year that could come back to bite us.

Possibly, but you are getting value. I'm guessing with our 2011 cap situation we could heavily front-load the contract so it isn't hindering us that much down the road. Not a capologist but I would think we have some flexibility here.

You think?

We have enough money to sign a ****-ton of players.

Hell, we may have MORE cap space than what we started with considering we knocked about $8M off the books cutting Chambers and Waters.

xztop12 07-28-2011 10:00 PM

id rather have a corner than can play press than just about anything other than a quarterback that can carry a team

Solid move getting Joseph back in the mix.

Never understood the fascination with Trueblood.

I'd settle for Franklin-McClain-Burnette- And some brokedick who'll be adequate at RT for a year or 2

I agree about the fans, and I don't blame them. Lots enjoy the games, see them as pure entertainment, and don't have the time to follow all of the nuances.

The media should work to inform and be responsible. If they do these things, there's no way we'll hear negativity from that section. Guess we'll see.

That's it in a nutshell.

You would pay Nnamdi the same amout that you would pay for Flowers/Carr combined.

If you sign Nnamdi, and you lock up Flowers, you'll likely have 23 mil locked into the corner position, whereas Flowers and Carr will probably cost about 15 mil.
