If Gas Buddy told you to jump off a ****ing cliff, would you do it?

Naperville's a pretty large city. There are lots of gas stations here. Do you really think every single one of them is accounted for by every on-line price checker?

I would also add that the two stations (along with a third about a mile down the street) are generally the cheapest ones in the area. It is possible that they were well below the Naperville average to begin with, and then had to match the increases with the more expensive stations when they started experiencing supply problems.

Either that, or I'm just making it all up because I'm bored.

No, but I'm much more likely to believe their numbers versus yours.

I just think your timeline is off.

You have to go back just over a month ago when IL averaged ~3.45/gal.

I find it hard to believe a gas station would sell gas at .20 cents less than anyone else. That's quite a gap.

No, my timeline's not off. I was in Missouri the weekend of July 20-21. Gas down there was around $3.30 a gallon. When I got back here, I noticed that gas (again, at the station by me) was at $3.45, which is actually pretty reasonable considering the tax difference between Illinois and Missouri. The price stayed there for a few days, then started jumping. And jumping and jumping.

Neither of you live here. Neither of you have been here during this time period. You're trying to tell me what gas cost based on a website. I'm telling you what I SAW WITH MY OWN EYES and what I PAID OUT OF MY OWN POCKET.

You guys going to tell me what color paint I have in my bedroom as well? Christ. :shake:

LMAO

By the way, this has been a test. A test designed to provoke an emotional response. I appreciate your taking part in it.

Donger is basically a snooty Gochiefs. 90% of the time he's normal. But that other 10%, he devolves into a completely annoying pigheaded jackass. Much like Gochiefs, I have no idea why he does it.

Because it usually is. Some people tend to get overly excited and emotional when it comes to this subject, which influences their objectivity.
