I went out today to the Lake of blue springs. Used some plastic bates and had real worms rigged like you would the fake ones I had no luck I was out there from 5-7:30.

Well on my weekly outing fishing for Catfish I had a vision that a caught an elusive new breed of catfish. It was a cat fish that was bread by the warm waters of el nino.
The mexicans nicknamed it El Gato Diablo.... Or "Devil Cat" The cat would have a long tail and small horns and when you flip it over it would have a tatoo. It's real hard to catch these fish because they are ususally in Bars underwater drinking tequilla getting into fights and wearing sunglasses. If you are real quiet you can hear them right now riding their motorcycles up the missouri river

took a trip down to the lake of the ozarks. It was horrible weather but had some fun

I have been loading up on tackle and anxious to hit the water, but its still too cold up here. For pond catfish I use everything stinkbaits, crawlers, dead minnies, catfish soap, crankbaits can catch em sometimes, we used deer bologna at my buddies house and slayed them. This is for blues and channel cats, never really fished for flatheads, if you do you can use all types of stuff make sure its big. Like live creek chubs, big shiners, all kinds of cutbaits.

I went down to LOZ also, fished Friday and Saturday. I thougth I was a pretty good fisherman, but I caught 11 crappie the whole 2 days. We kept marking fish over brush piles, but just had a hard time getting them to bite unless it was real soft. Caught all on a blue and white crappie jig. My buddy caught a few on minnows, but it was just plain hard fishing. I did however manage to catch a huge buzz and had a giant fish (assume it was a catfish) pull one of my rods right off the dock, guess I need a new fathers day present. Anyhow, dod you catch much?

My Lord, that is one massive fish. What did you use to catch him. I have never fished for any kind of trout.

I was just casting off the docks, and just walking around. In 2 days fishing about 4 hours a day I caught a blue gill, that crappie and a couple bass. It wasn't very good, but atleast I caught something. I used a white grub with spinner for the bass, with a bobber to keep from getting snagged, that 1 crappie I caught was on a mettle spoon just tied to the line. Caught a couple fish on night crawlers. It was too cold for good fishing especially since we were ghetto and just fish off the side

Throw it out and let it sit.....wont take long

Been slaughtering the crappie and bluegill with jigs, small spoons and even rapala stick baits.....biggest crappie was just a lil over 1.5 lbs..
