Point taken - but she's still got a few country miles on Steve Buscemi.

I hate that Irish Byrd....glad that one wanker ended up in a box.

Shocked we haven't had more discussion on this during the season.

He will be missed but he lost his nerve to take the shot so he had little value left on the show. He did at least save the boy on his way out though.

Really liked the way they closed it with that song...

That was good. The year was good but not as great as the first 2 seasons.

Just read that the story is going to jump ahead 7 years to 1931 for the final season.

MMXcalibur 10-26-2014 10:47 PM

.....and the series finale went down tonight.

Spoiler!

Very good show overall but I felt the final season was a little flat. Season 3 was probably my favorite

The show lost a lot once the charismatic presence of Michael Pitt left the show.

I enjoyed this season, agree that the first 3 seasons are strongest ...

The casting of Young Nucky was particularly brilliant. And seeing the moment Nucky sold his soul was pretty powerful (especially considering the way that was set up... that Jillian was not just a random girl he brought to the commodore, but actually a girl who had stayed in his home, bonded with his wife, and received his promise of protection).

It also explains a little more about why they spent so much time with Jillian's storyline... since it was so critical to Nucky's story.

I liked the Capone capper (the scene with his son was pretty cool, and I enjoyed the headshots of Capone putting on his mask for the reporters).

It was a pretty good series finale...granted, some stuff in this show just went right over my head.

The actor who portrayed young Nucky was awesome. He did a really good job.

Where the hell did they find the young Nucky actor? My God so spot on...

yep, it was like the picked the guy and had him watch the whole series to get Buscemi's mannerisms and master gestures down. It was an excellent impersonation.
