Brandon Siler Chargers Forum Thread

They hated to lose him. Why? Because he was a great tackler.

http://forums.chargers.com/showthread.php?t=88889

Here's a thread about how they wanted back when we signed him the second time.

Show them then. They are not in this thread. Your bet is so twisted its not even funny. Nobody is saying he won't miss a tackle, they are saying he is a better tackle than Siler. Your bet does not relate to that argument.

Back to the topic at hand.

Wondering what happened today in regards to the injured.

I can't find one. I found a sack and a coupleof 4th and goal stops but no gifs. It's pretty funny you can't find a single gif of Siler but can find like 6-10 of DJ missing tackles.

O.city 09-04-2012 09:28 PM

BECAUSE NO ONE HAS ENOUGH TIME IN THEIR LIVES OR GIVES TWO SHITS ABOUT MAKING GIFS OF SILER.

Pasta Little Brioni 09-04-2012 09:30 PM

I can't believe this argument is still going on...Wow

3 more than Ray Lewis.

For comparison, Brandon Siler has missed five tackles in his last 708 snaps. One every 141 snaps.

This is a pretty stupid discussion. Especially since you don't know what Siler's missed tackles would look like if he was a 3-down player. He'd probably get juked out of his jock in space.
Probably? That's pure speculation

Maybe? But why is it so easy to find gifs of DJ missing tackles?

It's pure speculation that Siler is inferior to Johnson in every measureable way?

Because DJ has been a Chief, played every snap as a Chief his whole career, and this is a Chiefs website?

From the Chargers forum:

"I think Siler may be one of those guys that is known by his team's fans as a solid player, but is unknown around the rest of the country."

"Siler a terrific run stuffing 3-4 ILB and special teamer. He has a knack for making big plays when on the field."

"I hope we keep him. He is good for certain situations and on special teams as mentioned."

"I really do hope he stays."

"Him and TKO on obvious run downs would be pretty deadly."

"Lets all take a moment a pray that he signs"

"Already saying a few hail mary's on this one"

"Wasn't Siler part of that famous 4th down goal line stand in the 2009 game against the Cowboys?"

"He was. I think letting Siler walk would be a mistake. This guy brings it when he's out there. he had a sack in that Dallas game also"

"What's the depth at middle linebacker right now? There's 3 ILB's that are not here right now that were last year. How does Siler not get resigned?"

"The mistake that some here on CMB make, is they pigeon hole certain players into roles and they don't stay openminded enough to realize that if given a chance they could do much more. I will bring up the Titans game on Christmas Eve in 2009 when Siler had a pick and played very well in coverage. It comes down to getting a shot to show he could do more. IMO, Siler has always done what was asked of him. Be it short yardage, ST's, etc.
I would very much like to get Siler re-signed and I would expect him to continue to do everything that is asked from him. His skill set coming out of college was much better than where we were able to draft him, in fact in his draft class he was rated the 2nd best ILB. For all the talk of needing to stop power run teams as a big problem for this defense, Siler should be a no brainer."

"He's also only 25, so there is still room for growth in areas he may be weak in."

"It bothers me as well....I just have to have faith that things work out and Bolts sign him...I must admit I will be big time disappointed if he signs with another team. The man makes plays, every time when giving the opportunity, he has stood out. Guy has loads of potential to be a quality starter for years to come"

"I'll bring up the Seahawks game in 2010. It was Siler who picked up a safety which gave the team a chance to come back against Seattle."

"He just signed with the Chiefs"

"Well this debate is over he signed with the Chiefs the traitor"
