So true. Even as absolutely shitty as we were last year, we gave some good teams a fight. Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, and Indy. You never know shit in this league.

The Chiefs added cornerback Sean Smith (neck), safety Husain Abdullah (foot) and linebacker Dezman Moses (toe) to their injury report on Thursday. Smith and Moses were listed as full practice participants while Abdullah did not practice.

Otherwise, the injury report was the same as Wednesday's. Guard Jon Asamoah (calf), linebacker Nico Johnson (ankle) and defensive lineman Allen Bailey (absent because of the death of his father) did not practice. Tackle Eric Fisher (shoulder), tight end Travis Kelce (knee), offensive lineman Donald Stephenson (shoulder), safety Quintin Demps (hamstring) and linebacker James Michael Johnson (groin) were listed as full participants.

In the event Asamoah, the starter at right guard, isn't available against Jacksonville on Sunday, Geoff Schwartz would likely replace him.

Should be a quick week.

my thoughts are - I'm not driving 7 hours to watch the Chiefs in shitty Jacksonville. That's about it.

We'll probably barely win, but still may lose.

I remember going with guys for the Jags opener last year. They were all pumped up to play the Texans. I don't think they got 100 total yards of offense. It was horrendous. Over by half time.

Hoping for the same this year.

My son was with me. Saw the cool flyover and asked me why we didn't go to more games. 15 minutes later, we remembered....lol

Conditions are going to be rough in Jacksonville. It's going to be about 90 degrees with 96% humidity. The humidity in KC rests around 46%. It's a whole other type of heat down there. Hopefully Reid's tougher camp will pay off.

Have no idea what this team is going to do but the jags game is going to be a big indicator.

If we really are going to be improved this year and a playoff-ish team then we need to spank that jag ass.

Bradley says Lewis is out.

Mother****erJones 09-06-2013 11:12 AM

Marcedes Lewis - TE - Jaguars
Marcedes Lewis (calf) was held out of practice for a second consecutive day Friday.
Lewis tweaked his calf in Wednesday's session and has been out since. He's looking like a long shot to play in Sunday's opener. Lewis may not make as many plays in the passing game anymore, but he's a solid run blocker. Allen Reisner, D.J. Williams, and Clay Harbor will try and pick up the slack.
