I agree. I don't want Smith re-signed at all. I want to believe he is our stopgap and we are searching, but here is a lurking suspicion that has been ingrained in me that keeps nagging away.

I really wouldn't mind keeping smith here for another year after his contract is up as long as we are developing a franchise guy, but Smith will obviously want a longterm/big money deal.

Defense plays tough and holds for awhile but with the offense continuing to go 3 and out they eventually give up the big play. We get too far behind and our offense has to start trying to do stuff it hasn't been doing all year and implodes.

Depending on how we do next season he will have ground to stand on for a long term extension that I won't want to give him. I doubt, as well, that he would take a 1 year contract.

Just like with most things; you get what you pay for. Hit me up if you have any questions. I have helped 5 different people get off of cigarettes and they claim it to have been way easier than they anticipated.

I think he addressed his playing style as being in beast mode and it caught on as a nickname. He's used the term since he was in Buffalo.

Im not sure that would be the case. Aside of that he is the best QB you have had here in some time. He may not be explosive but he is very solid.
