In my opinion, the SHIT OL's have not helped him. He arrived as damaged goods, and is now damaged beyond repair.

I truly think that Stevie hit nail on the head in a related thread.

Alex was having issues last year behind the makeshift offensive line but once his spleen was lacerated, it caused him to further retreat into a shell. We saw it in preseason and we've seen it against the Broncos and Packers.

IMO, smart opposing defensive coordinators will just load up the box, blitz and rush, daring Smith to beat them with his arm. It's Matt Cassel deja vu all over again.

And as stubborn as Reid appears to be regarding Smith, it's going to take injury to remove him from the starting lineup.

I hope he gets injured. That apparently is the only way that he'll be taken out of the game.

This statement just has the FEEL of being 100% accurate. The still shots of Alex breaking from a pocket that is giving him good to great protection is good indicator of the facts fitting the theory.

Smith is leagues away from Brady's skill and Belicheat is miles away from Reid in terms of coaching ability.

The 2014 Patriots and the 2015 Chiefs are nowhere near the same team circumstantially.

Hoping you turn your season around in a similar fashion. Not trying to troll. I agree that Brady>>>>Smith, and Belichick > EveryoneElse, but you have quite alot of talent on your team, I think, and I hope you turn it around. Would love to play you in the AFCCG.

You've been trolling me for days. You and I will not agree on much, and have too contrasting opinions on most everything to ever be able to have a good discussion. So you ought to stop all the trolling.

Alex Smith plays aggressive when his back is against the wall. He was conservative as shit in the beginning of 2013 and the defense was balling out. He was aggressive when they lost Houston and Hali and couldn't stop anybody. He went back in his shell in 2014 when the defense played well again. It's not about the ol for Alex. The guy doesn't want to lead this team. He wants to support it. That's not good because we basically have to root for the defense to suck to see Smith open up.

I am not trolling you. Look at the post history. You're the one who goes out of your way to call me out as an idiot. I have never said that of you.

If Alex is scared of getting hurt again it would certainly explain why he keeps running from phantom pressure out of mostly clean pockets.

Damaged goods.

So he's basically become David Carr. Carr used to throw short passes all the time towards the end of his career because he was so scared. Even when he had a clean pocket.

Please Geno.....do this to Smith and knock him out of the game.

Not spinal enough for my liking.

Hammock Parties 10-02-2015 02:04 PM

I'm not sure we want Alex hurt this early in the year.

He needs to suck for about 10 weeks and then get hurt...really bad...so bad that they consider other options at QB...young options. You know, just in case his shattered spine doesn't heal.

If the middle of our Oline can't hold their own against Cincy we are pretty much toast.

Our coaching and QB play isn't good enough to make up for it.

Cincy has a WR we can't man-to-man and they have a Dline we can't control. That's just about all it takes really.

Giovani Bernard is a tough runner, if we don't man-up he will get a lot of yards after contact.

Don't forget Jeremy Hill.

David Carr got pounded ... they ruined that guy

Bengals have beaten the Raiders, Chargers by 7 and (barely) a Suggs-less Ravens....who are a combined 4-5. Not exactly the same level of pass rushers KC has faced....Miller, Ware, Matthews, Peppers and Watt. Add in the O-line injuries and it is what it is. People are really down playing the impact of losing a top 5 CB against Manning/Rodgers.

I'm still not convinced that Dalton handles the pass rush well.

Hammock Parties 10-02-2015 03:04 PM

The Bengals have beaten some teams with losing records, you say?

THE CHIEFS ARE YET ANOTHER TEAM WITH A LOSING RECORD
