Doesn't count after said pick is proven to be worthless.

Hope you choke on your grandmas dick tonight.

That's cool, bro.

I hope whatever you swallow glides down your throat effortlessly. I wouldn't want any harm to come to a Chiefs fan. Sleep tight, friend.

Why is everything a qualifier for you when it comes to Alex Smith?

The dude ****ing sucked today. He had a bad game. Quit projecting Alex Smith's struggles onto Clay.

It's week 2... lots can and most likely will change over the next 14 weeks. The ability some of you have to go from really liking Alex back to he sucks, is incredible. Foles isn't any better, if he were, he'd be starting already.

I don't know if some of the issues with the slow starts this year are similar to what bit the team last year or not. Down 3-21 and 3-13 at the half of both games, scoring 7 in the two combined 3rd quarters. That's a team thing.

Alex ranks 5th in both attempts and completions through 2 games. The problem isn't really Alex, it's the ground game - KC ranks 27th in rushing attempts per game through 2.

KC was 12th in rushing attempts and APG in 2015.
KC was 29th in passing attempts and APG in 2015.

In 2016, the formula is backwards because of Charles' injury. I haven't watched all the games, so I don't know if they're not running as much or not early on... but, Alex is the easy scapegoat - KC is asking him to play and win in a manner by which he's never been asked to do so in KC. It's not who he is...

Compared to Denver... they are letting Trevor throw the ball, not exactly keeping him in a bubble, but he's in the mid/late 20s overall for attempts per game and yardage. Broncos are 9th in rushing attempts per game and 4th in rushing yards per game. That's exactly the formula they need with him.

Surprising to me that KC isn't pounding the rock more with Ware, West and company. KC is 15th in yards rushing per game, just over 100 per game with a 4th best overall 5.4 yards gained per attempt. It's early though.

The game in HOU had to be fun with 8 combined FGs... lots of 3 and outs though for the defense, compared to last week.

KC has had 14 of 25 drives with fewer than 5 plays... run more, that solves the riddle.

All this time, and you still can't get it. Easy to see why everyone.. even your "pure" Chiefs fans.. call you clueless.

In short... you will very likely be stuck with me. If Smith regresses and is replaced, then I move on to the next Chiefs' starting QB with y'all.

Alex had a bad game. Just a bad performance.

But nearly every player on offense contributed with one stupid or costly mistake. Fish had penalties. Maclin dropped some passes. Ware fumbled. Morse had a horrible snap for a turnover...

I don't fugging care. This is year 4 of Alex and Andy and this offense has looked like trash. We picked Oz off twice and did nothing with it. Smith better put on his big boy pants and start making things happen when needed and stop standing behind the OL taking sacks. Get out of trouble and make a damn play.

We should have won. A winner at QB would have got us there.

Well, being BEHIND most of the time in the first two games certainly accounts for much of the formula, currently, being backward. I'm pretty sure when we are playing ahead in the game, we will be pounding the rock more, as you say. Obviously, it's much harder to lean on the running game, when you are behind as much as we've been--especially without Charles. Hopefully that changes soon. It's really as simple as that.

This was my initial thought, too, but the offense has dug itself into the hole by not running as much as they should.

Silver lining in all that is a) there won't be any Hundley nuthuggers to follow him and troll CP and b) Packers fans are nice enough they won't register here to try and tell us how to feel about the acquisition of Hundley and c) the rest of the Smith cultists who have never been within a county's distance to Arrowhead won't be around any more to tell me how much of a non-fan I am for not supporting Alex.

We aren't going to trade for Hundley
