That is just.... weird. In a vacuum I hate it. I'll tolerate it without bitching too much if we stop doing that after a couple weeks.

I'm thinking Duffy is performing too well to send down, a bunch of guys are coming off the DL soon, we don't need bullpen help, and the Royals want to give them all a chance. I figure they are thinking that someone will suck bad enough soon (especially since we're throwing everybody off their routine) to send down with no hard feelings.

If this goes on beyond a couple weeks, I'll be highly irritated.

Hochevar is on pace to eat a shit ton of innings, and this has value. Therefore, if he could be traded for a highly thought of A or AA player (most likely A), I'd do it tomorrow.

If Colon would bring pitching value, I'd do it.

Hi this probably belongs in the game thread when it happens, but I just heard on the radio that Petco Park is the only Major League stadium in which the Royals have never won.

I'm not sure but I think they've only played the one game there.

But he's 7-2. How dare you....

What's that? His ERA+ was an 82 BEFORE this game?!

At least this is consistent with approaches to other aspects of the game.

For example, we haven't traded one top prospect for proven talent. Why? Couple of possibilities: 1. They're all going to pan out. Every. Single. One. Of. Them. 2. We can't properly evaluate our own system and potential talent. 3. We don't want to pay the potential proven ML talent that we'd get in return.

Which proven player are you wanting to acquire?

I overheard my friends cousin who works at the gas station today saying Halliday was seen by his aunts dogwalker looking at property in Lee's Summit. Or maybe the guy was just wearing a Phillies jersey, he wasn't sure.

Is there really any question? Did Hugh Douglas sign in KC? Was Ty Law the last piece of the puzzle? Did Frank Gansz success as a special teams coach translate to his job as head coach?

OK I guess there is a question or 3.

No, no and no. Well, Frank Gansz was good for the Seahawks, Raiders, Broncos and Chargers.
