If the Denver Broncos are not able to trade QB Kyle Orton, they could be in a tough situation. Orton is due $8.8 million this year, so the Broncos could run into salary cap issues. The team could then be forced to restructure or release him, or they could look elsewhere for salary cap room. Orton sees no reason to restructure, as he could just stick it out this year and look to cash in on the free-agent market next offseason.

The Miami Dolphins are no closer to working out a trade with the Denver Broncos for QB Kyle Orton or a contract restructuring for Orton. Negotiations aren't dead yet, but the sides remain at a standstill. One complication is that Orton is considering the Broncos may be the best place for him to spend the 2011 season. He is owed $8.8 million, and does not see a reason why he should restructure his deal.
