Halladay, Carp, Lopez, Hinske.

Carlos Delgado was the team's best player at that time. Amazing hitter.

Thing with the Jays is that they have never been that bad over the last decade(minus 1 season) and play in the AL East. Put 'em in the Central and they win a division title.
Well...a balanced schedule and they could have done a lot. The Sox and Yankees have to get their 18 games against each other a season for ESPN and FOX, though.

Good luck to you Cards fans. Can stand those Phillies. Loved Albert jumping off that bag with an attitude saying I don't ****ing think so Utley.

I prefer "That's a winner folks." Jack Buck was the best.

As a Halladay fan, this is the matchup I wanted all along. Should be fun.

Halladay may be the best pitcher in baseball but Carpenter when he is on with that bulldog attitude he's unhittable.

I think you can watch Game 5 on TV live if you choose and be held jinx free and blame free.

Nah. Too much at stake.

K-avid FreE5e.

Recorded the game, but had to keep up periodically with GameCast, as I couldn't wait or deal with the stress of another game right after the one yesterday.

Friday night has the opportunity to be epic. Here's hoping it's like 2006 Game 7 rather than 2001 Game 5.

Games like Friday are the reason Halladay left Toronto and one of the reasons I watch playoff baseball...for the intense competition of it.

It's an odd feeling cheering for a player, though, and not liking the team he's on at all. Ever since the 1993 WS, I've never liked the Phillies. I mean, they aren't on Yankees or Red Sox level of hate, but my dislike has only gotten worse since they started paying for elite players and got good again. Anybody else have a similar experience?

My exact feelings as well. Rooting for a small market, small ball team like the Royals makes it very hard to ever root for the "money" teams. Not a huge Cardinals fan either but I dislike them less in this series than the Phillies.

our starting pitchers.
Two picked up off the MLB scrap heap
One drafted
One traded for a draft pick

Not exactly a winning formula.

I've hated Philly sports fans (and therefore their teams) since I had the misfortune of spending a couple years living outside Philly. Not sure you could assemble a bigger bunch of douchebags combing the world.

The Phillies are a class organization, and I have a great deal of respect for how their players conduct themselves. They are worlds better than an arrogant group of scumbags like the Brewers.

However, I cannot describe how loathsome the Philly fans are with enough emphasis. Cheering Master Allen almost getting brained with a fastball? What type of insipid pile of rat shit does something like that?

See my biggest problem with them, and sadly South Jersey is basically Philly as well, is that the media claims they are "smart" fans. Booing every bad play is not being smart.
