Keep telling yourself that. It doesn't make it true.

There are no insecurities in the Royals fan base. Banners are a good prescription for those, as are championship rings.

You're getting the reaction you are because you brought a stupid opinion to the thread.

The royals of 2013-15 were not an all time elite team, but they were an elite team in MLB over that period, and you can't explain that away by saying "it was all just luck!"

Somebody better let Dan and Rany know then. They seem to be under a different impression.

Back to the topic at hand:

Burns gives the Royals flexibility to trade or nontender Dyson in the offseason (though that would be unpopular in the clubhouse).

It also covers them if the team decides to trade Cain now. Still think the return there would have to be tremendous and help right away, but that's what makes sense here, to me.

Personally, I could give a damn if the Mets had won it, then all got busted ala Black Sox style and then the title was given to the Royals. Or they won on a contested balk call 4 nights in a row, or every Mets pitcher got AIDS the day before the series or any bad luck/good luck scenario you can think of. The Royals are the reigning World Champions. Every other team from 2015 will fade into the ether of nothingness. That's all that matters.

Again, if it was such BS, you don't get those defensive responses at all. The proper reaction to Dan's tweet was Rany's (agreeing with the obvious truth of the statement and still not giving a shit about it).

Thanks for letting us know how to respond and act on a message board, mom.

And that would be exactly how I would feel.

I really like the trade. Sure, it's from a fan's eyeball test(clearly the most unreliable mesasurement), but I like what I have seen every time I watched Burns play. He seems like a real pain in the ass for the opponent type of player. I like those types.

KC Connection loves to wear his 2015 Toronto Blue Jays AL East championship shirt.....Only after taking off his clown suit he wears to little kid's birthday parties.

Braves are involved in some interesting moves/rumors. I read today that they may be trying to get McCann back? Apparently they want their rebuild window to be a lot smaller than was thought.

I don't know much about Burns but from everything I've read today, the trade is heavily weighted in the Royal's favor, so much so, that I can't understand why Oakland made the deal.

That seems odd considering the youth movement they have taken.

Who knows? Personally, I find Billy Beane to be either completely overrated, someone whom the game has passed over, or both. Can't really remember the last trade he made that worked great for the A's

Or it's still 100% BS.

In fact, that's exactly what it is, regardless of our reaction to it.

I think it's a fairly even swap in terms of value. Just a matter of each team thinking the other plays fills its needs better.
