Ravensinsider just pretty much said that Mcclain is going to be a Chief.

He said we would be a good fit. He didn't pretty much say he was going to be a Chief. You read to much into shit.

If not then you aren't being sensible. This gets me pumped up to see him in red and gold. Imagine us stopping the run and teams having to throw on our secondary?

No - a single quote from a teammate doesn't make me want a player. I'm not 12 years old.

If he signs here, I won't complain, because we've at least tried to address the position.

But I think he's overhyped and played for a contract.

There's better value for the dollar out there, which allows us to make even more signings.

Let me ask you this - with all the hype surrounding the very probable signing of McClain tomorrow, how pissed would you be if we somehow didn't sign him?

Titty Meat 07-28-2011 11:27 PM

Seems like people are reading what they want to read at this point.

I'd like to sign him, but I wouldn't be crushed if we don't. THere are other good complimentary backs out there.

BossChief 07-28-2011 11:28 PM

Gonzo was the biggest homer of all time.

I dont think he ever had an offseason where "this is the best Chiefs team I have been on" wasnt muttered.

...

You guys that are against Haynseworth to NE are nuts and have obviously forgotten how dominant of a 4-3 DT he was.

I don't think it's a matter of it ruining them, per se, I just question whether there are better moves that could have been made, possibly without draft picks. I think there's some degree of leeway given to them because it's the Patriots (and they've earned that...). But speaking only for myself, I don't think I'd have been overjoyed with either move had the Chiefs made them.

'course in the end, it really only matters how they perform on the field. And if they both play like pro bowlers and the Patriots start winning playoff games again, then they were obviously the right moves.

They would have been terrible moves for the Chiefs, because:

a.) We are in good shape at WR.

b.) Haynesworth doesn't fit what we do.

It's a great deal for NE because there's no risk. They actually need someone like Ocho, and anything they get from Albert is gravy. Late round picks mean nothing to BB, he'll have 3 fifths and 5 sixths by the time those drafts come around.

Williams on Sirius radio

When asked directly where he might like to go if he parts with Minnesota he mentioned 3 teams; but the FIRST team he mentioned was Kansas City. He said KC needed a run stuffer in the middle and he could fill that role.

I wouldn't be pissed, but I'd be pretty disappointed.

He's a perfect fit for us, we have a shit-ton of money to spend, and he's not going to command very much.

BossChief 07-28-2011 11:36 PM

If you guys could chose, which would you rather have signed here?

Kelly Gregg or Aubrayo Franklin?
