Ugly win, but we'll take it, Hope they learn from this one

Mr. Plow 12-22-2011 10:08 PM

Nice win.

Look at this as a series of coaching opportunities.

Holy **** that was hideous.

mnchiefsguy 12-22-2011 10:08 PM

A win is a win....It just shows that this team still has room for growth. It got hairy, but Mizzou manages to pull it out. Here's hoping they are focused on Old Dominion next, and don't look ahead to the conference schedule.

WTF was that from Ratliffe at the end. He was begging to give the guy a four point play.

Phil and Dixon went full reerun. Glad we won, but those two need to trust our offense more and their ability to make junk shots less.

Saul Good 12-22-2011 10:10 PM

That's a great win. We looked great. We got a big lead. We looked like shit. We gave up the lead. We pissed down our leg. We pulled it together. We won.

Good work.

Terrifying game with a maddening late stage and a great finish. Some major WTF? moments by Pressey the Lessor, but Flip, Rat(c)liffe and Dixon really saved our bacon late after ****ing us earlier.

PS: Steve Moore was great tonight.

What? Lunging into a half-court shot with a 4- point lead and no time left on the clock is a bad idea?

The sheer amount of absolute reerun in that game was truly staggering.

That would have been one of the most boneheaded plays in the history of sports had they called the foul and he made the shot.

that illinois team is awful. good win in the fact that mu held on and made plays when it mattered though.

Dane Fife says it was the correct move in that situation.

Sure-Oz 12-22-2011 10:33 PM

They'll learn alot from this...looked like last year most of the 2nd half

At least Mizzou didn't struggle with a 5-7 team tonight.

DJ's left nut 12-22-2011 10:46 PM

Hey - does anyone know what the deal with Kadeem Green was tonight? Was Moore just effective enough that we didn't play him?

We only played 7 guys tonight - that's just not going to work come conference season and it's damn sure not going to work if we make the tourney.

Was Green injured/sick or are they just not as confident in his ability to contribute as I'd hoped they would be by now.
