I realize that. All I meant was that, if the Chiefs were in a similar situation, those would not be the moves I'd be looking for (sort of how we both are with Franklin...). I don't think I'd be dancing all over Foxboro right now if I were a Patriots fan.

I would argue that there absolutely is a degree risk of when you're talking about a 33-year old wide receiver and a headcase d-lineman. Now, you want to talk about the cost, but I don't really care all that much about the draft picks. So I'm not thinking risk in terms of cost, I'm simply thinking success versus failure. I'm basically the same way with free agency as I am with the draft: it's all about what happens on the field. If the moves both pan out and they're winning a playoff game for the first time in four years, it was worth the risk. If they don't, it wasn't.

I'm not even saying the moves are bad, really. I'm just saying I don't think they're a sure thing. They almost strike me as desperation moves, but as has been pointed out, at the same time they're not all that dissimilar to bringing in Dillon or Moss (or Rodney Harrison, from an age standpoint). They might work.

But while I think belcher is good up grading if we can get say a Barnett, if healthy, or equivalent will make this D darn right scary.

Seirous qusetion do u think Donnie Edwards could comeback and be a solid backup to Belcher? Now that he's had a few years to heal from his injuries?

Lawlz.

I forgot they all were Mormons.

Not trying to justify Haynesworths dumbshit way of dealing with a bad situation, but he was signed for that crazy amount to do a job and then one year later, that job was deleted.

I fully expect the Patriots to move to a 80% 4-3 (or just straight up full time one, like they ran in 2001 and part of 2002...even won a championship running it in 2001) and for Albert to return to his previous dominant form.

I'm not sure why, but I think we've got something in Belcher. To play as well as he has with where he came from, he just strikes me as one of those rare small school guys who excels despite the odds.

I mean, Maine for crissakes...

Titty Meat 07-28-2011 11:59 PM

Yup I'd say Franklin is our boys and girls

Seahawks reach agreement with former Cardinals DT Alan Branch on a two-year, $8 million deal that includes $4 million guaranteed.

I have shouted at the top of my lungs for some time now that I think Belcher is our linebacker version of Brandon Carr.

Time will tell, but more times than not I am damn close on these things over the years.
