Ya...really am curious who stays, who goes...and most important, who is coming in.

We need some size. We needs balls.

Just a few games ago he looked like he was taking charge, he was exuding leadership and confidence then the next game...blank stare...I don't understand it.

Svi could be really good as soon as next year. He has all the tools you need to be a great wing.

I'm excited for him too, he was only 17 this year..Obviously not ready to contribute yet.

Nobody is saying Fire Self so focus on what is being argued.

I agree. This is ****ing nonsense the shit I'm reading in this thread.

This is an unmitigated disaster. Any KU fan that isn't admitting that simply is getting left behind.

Cal is blowing right by Self in coaching and it's not because "he's got 8 pros on the team". I'm sick of that excuse. The guy gets everything out of his players and they improve tenfold over the course of the season where we seem to get "a little better" but never simply bust through.

John Wall, Anthony Davis, Joe Randall, Willie Cauli-Stein (FROM ****ING OLATHE!!!), Karl Towns, Devin Booker etc....

These are the type of players that Kentucky is pumping out of their program.

And I'm not even talking about the Harrison Twins, Trey Lyles, Kidd-Gilcrest, Ulis, etc etc

Get it together. This is a DISASTER. Self can't hide behind titles in this bogus conference forever. This team was NOWHERE near the same level as WSU tonight and that has to matter.

We suck right now and it's on Self and his $5 million salary to produce. Either that or get someone who can compete with Kentucky.

UNC hasn't been a powerhouse in a few years and haven't been a top 3 seed in a while...

Duke lost to Mercer last year.

The amazing parity and lack of MATURE COLLEGE SUPERSTARS is going to mean a lot of big programs are going to have more and more and more "upset" early tourney losses.

This Wichita State team has been a team and have grown together for years. Hell, Vegas didn't even consider this an upset.

The tourney is wide open for more teams than ever every single year.

Yeah, we have even less to complain about, and I'd much rather make the tourney every year as a top 3 seed than win an extra NC followed by a terrible season and NIT berth.

I don't mind parity (I think the NHL has the perfect mix of parity and talent), but would personally rather see dynasty teams than a watered down league... and not just as a Kansas fan, but in the NFL and other sports.

Such a maddeningly puzzling player. I'd taken to calling him Sleepy Selden all year for a reason.

If public wasn't so naive WSU probably would've been favored by 5 today. It was a pick em. I bet Vegas made a killing on that line

Count me in that group. I took KU -1.5 and I got burnt.

Damn it, now I feel guilty for my "reerun" comment.

I apologize for that.

Might not be after next year, but I think he has a NBA future.

Can he get a ****ING rebound once in a while?

I don't care if he's short. WSU has Wesal in there getting boards and fighting.

Selden sits on the wing and does nothing.

I might just boot him off the team altogether if I was Self. He simply isn't worth the trouble.

That regret doesn't really exist this year as this team was never going anywhere anyway. Might have something to do with being in UK's region too, though.

True, I definitely felt worse for that team and for Embiid, but once I was over that, it was about the same feeling heading into the tournament.... basically the same feeling of "what if they had a big man" this year, except they actually had one on the bench last year, so I see what you're saying.

Definitely can't start somebody like Lucas again next year. Nothing against him (he certainly gave it his all today unlike some others), but he's very limited as a basketball player.

Oh please. Go to the Realignment thread... I get called everything in the book

I don't care. This is about winning championships and what we're doing at Kansas right now simply isn't good enough.

That's maybe the worst thing about him. Selden has the 3rd worst defensive rebound rate in the B12. Stunning considering he's 6'5 230 (so not short at all) with major leaping ability.

Normally, I wouldn't be against getting rid of Selden either. But I don't think Self has that luxury with this team. Have to stick with him and hope something is there.
