st louis isn't going to take any offers prior to March. It is stupid to even call right now.

No don't start a thread yet Boss.

I hope to hell they go after RGIII. That would be so awesome.

It shows how much Romeo values a franchise quarterback.

If he would pay 3 or 4 times the going rate to take a quarterback in 2007, I doubt he would shy away from doing it again because he knows how much the remainder of his career depends on finding one.

Hopefully Pioli realizes why no realy HC wanted to come here. Could be the best thing to happen out of this cluster**** of a mess.

Okie_Apparition 01-07-2012 06:07 PM

You'll hear people say a HC will draft a rookie QB to buy him time
Though it didn't work for Del Rio
Does that work for GMs?

If you guys wanted a coach who was going to have the power to trade up for a QB, you should've been rooting for Fisher. I don't think Crennel would be able to force Pioli to do something like that.

I wish fans had a vote in player stuff like they do with the Pro bowl.

Why? Conventional wisdom would say that pioli and rac's relationship would put more stock in rac's opinion than someone pioli didn't know prior(fisher)

Because the only way Fisher takes a job is if he has personnel control.

He sure did a fantastic job in Tennessee with player control.

That team is stacked.

Hold on...

Ok. Got you.

still I would think that pioli would have a high level of trust in romeo's opinion and that of weis, who supposedly didn't like cassel much either.
Couple that with the bad guy saying clark doesn't believe cassel is the guy and we could be cooking a recipe for a trade up.

or trading for another back up...

Eh, hardly notable.

When I think of a team trading up, I think of someone moving 5 or more spots.

Moving from 12 to top 5 to grab Luck or RG3 is a large jump and certainly notable.

I'm knit-picking though...
