You're asking runners to defy the laws of physics.

The NFL has overthought replay to the point where people don't even know what's real anymore. I'd hate to see baseball go that direction.

Ageed. I don't know why, but I'm totally fine with replay challenges on pick off attempts getting back to base, but the challenges of a runner stealing that was safe and came off the base by a hair is crap.

It just doesn't work with the spirit of the original rules and for all the talk of speeding up the game, this seems unnecessary.
