Dorsey and Reid have to work together, and if Reid is still happy with Smith, then we are stuck with Smith.

As much as I'd love to see the Chiefs move on from Smith, it's better for the team long term if they reach that decision mutually.

I don't have a problem with Smith as our starter the last 4 years.

I do have a problem with Smith as our starter the last 4 years without any move to attain a legitimate QBOTF while that happened...

But this is how the Chiefs always do it. Go get a retread and never address the future. When said retread is done or failed, we just go get another retread.

Rinse. Repeat.

Only 2.5 retreads have worked out. Lenny got us to two superbowls and one championship. Joe Montana got us to the AFC championship game. Trent is the .5 because he had the offense rolling but Dick was an ass and ignored the defense.

I'd still like to know what's going on with Bray. If he doesn't have it by now, he never will. It seems ill-advised to keep him on the payroll and take a roster spot if we never intend to use him.

It will cost us literally nothing to dump him next year. Unless he lights up the sky this offseason, I can't imagine they're keeping him around in '17.

He's the ultimate tease - everything coaches want in a QB in terms of measurable, but apparently he just doesn't have it between the ears.

He was undrafted which makes him cheap to keep around. Stupid but there it is.

His vet minimum salary still goes up.

Nah, keep him one more year, then show him and Andy the door together.

He was also put on IR for 3 out of the 4 seasons he's been with us so he's not even using a roster spot most of the time.

I think he's been on the active roster for one game his entire career. Just a guess though.

Alex is supposed to be a smart quarterback, we see where that has gotten us. Bray has all the physical abilities but can't grasp the entire playbook. Lots of quarterbacks have been successful because their arm is better than their brain. Foles and Bray can add excitement to our offense. 15 touchdowns isn't a very high bar to eclipse.

This video explains the #1 issue with Alex. Casserly basically says that if Pittsburgh's defense gives the same opportunities and looks to Brady as they did to Smith, they will be torched. And he is damn right.

Alex leaves too many plays to be had. That is the issue with him. He's not bad, in fact you could argue he's pretty good, but a playmaking QB would never leave the amount of TDs off the board that Smith does. Insert QBOTF.

He gone yet?

If that's the case then just sign Cutler after he gets cut.

5 touchdown,2 backbreaking interceptions per game heading our way

When's the last time Cutler put up a 5 TD game or threw for 300 yards?

He has this reputation for being a stats QB, and he really isn't. Maybe in Denver and like one year in Chicago he was, but he hasn't been anything close to that for years.
