I wasn't as much pulling FOR Germany as I was against Mexico.

As soon as I saw Ozil in the lineup again my confidence in Germany circled the drain. He was awful but really the entire German squad looked disinterested for all but 10-15 minutes the entire group stage.

Ozil doesnt deserve a spot on any national team. How do you bring a guy who is truly awful in 90% of any game he plays and couldn't care less about his performance to a World Cup again and again.

There might be someone I am missing, but Werner and Kroos were really the only German players looked like they cared. Boateng and Mueller were both pretty awful. Neuer did not play very well either and the list goes on.

Germany had so many excellent scoring opportunities in every game and rarely capitalized. Their defense against the counter was horrible against Mexico and S Korea and would have been the same against Sweden if they tried to score.

How can anyone root for Mexico?
