He's pretty old now. Good luck to him.

No way we bring back Berry. This is HB's defense and Mahomes' team now. It would wreck the whole dynamic.

HB says that before a defensive series Mahomes will tell him one word: "lead". Mahomes could never do that with EB.

He’d make a fine Raider.

No thanks. We have younger and better players now.

An injury-prone 31 year old safety who hasn't played in basically three years with mental/"spirit" issues... no thanks.

Wish he would take his Haglunds to New England.

Yes he is.

Nice timing for Eric Berry/his agent to put this story out there... the day before the Chiefs are traveling to Miami to begin their Super Bowl week.

He could have remained in his “sabbatical” for another week.

NFL Media's Mike Garafolo reports S Eric Berry plans to play in 2020.
Berry intentionally sat out 2019 despite receiving interest from teams this past year in an attempt to get his body and mind ready for the 2020 NFL season. The 3x All-Pro safety will only be 31 next year but has played just three games since the 2016 season ended. Berry will need to prove he's fully healthy to sign a big contract in free agency this offseason. There's a chance Berry can return starting-level play, but signing Berry would be a roll of the dice
.

This was from rotoworld. If it takes him a year to get his mind right how long before it's not right again and he needs another year?

That's a hard pass from me.

Yeah, but was it really good strategy to remind the league that the Chiefs were better with him?

Tyrann Matthieu > Eric Berry

Too soon?
