Steelers are apparently saying they're open to moving Chase Claypool for a 2.

Why are people say we are rebuilding? :hmmm:

We did that after the Super Bowl loss to TB when our Oline was completely rebuilt.

Chiefs just plugging holes.

Because they are, it's a soft rebuild but you don't have the amount of young players playing this team does without it being that.

The completely rebuilt the WR room and most of the defensive backfield as well. It certainly was a transition year when the season started but Mahomes proves once again that you can contend even when you're in transition, just like last year with the offensive line.

Kareem Hunt to the Rams has a bunch of smoke...

htismaqe 10-28-2022 12:45 PM

Interesting development.

The Eagles basically agreed to tear up the rest of Robert Quinn's contract. He's now a free agent after this year.

When I think of the '22 Rams, I don't feel Kareem Hunt is the missing piece that's been holding them back.

It's going to help a little at least. They have a QB that appears to have lost something on his arm and an offensive line that is struggling because they can't present a threat to a defense.

Getting Hunt gets them back to the way McVay wants to play.

It's basically cause Cam Akers doesn't wanna play there so they think they can get Hunt and flip Akers to offset it.

Probably not, though a healthy Kareem will adequately take Akers place, and Kareem has no problem attacking the defense.

Imo, they're missing OBJ. A great WR that can beat man press at will. When you look at how their OL has performed this season, they desperately need a guy that can get open in 2 seconds consistently.

That's the thing with this organization, the Chiefs have kind of entered that level where New England was when they had Bill and Brady at their peak. Guys are expected to come in here and work harder than with most teams, and there are no excuses. You want to play here, you're going to work and commit yourself at an elite level. Young guys and newcomers buy into it because they know if they do, Reid and Mahomes will keep winning them games and they will eventually get paid, if not here, then somewhere else. Veach and the scouts are doing an amazing job finding NFL ready talent in literally every round of the draft which is absolutely huge. Having Andy's program in place will always keep us ahead of almost every franchise no matter how much turnover we see in an offseason. He's just that good.

Meanwhile, vets like Dunlap will come here for pennies to fill any roster gaps to try and win a ring. There really will never be any true rebuilding. There is an organization wide expectation to win, and if you won't buy in and make it happen on the Chiefs' terms, you won't be here. Really that simple, just ask Tyreek.

But no, there is no chance at all we're moving him for picks. And he has very little value to rebuilding teams. So you need to be looking at teams with needs at the position who consider themselves a playoff team at the very least. They'd have to have depth at a position we need as well since they're not going to rob from their current roster in a playoff push.

Ah hell, call up the Packers. Hardman for Josh Nijman. I think Zach Tom could play RT for them and Nijman is a pending RFA in his own right.

That's the only kind of trade that might get any traction at all.

The other 31 teams ain't just bit players in the Chiefs story.

That’s basically what I suggested with Washington and Jacksonville. Both teams are deep at DL and could use receiver help. I highly doubt it happens, but it’s possible. I never referenced trading him for picks.

You're better off building stronger everywhere than putting all of your eggs in one basket.

But with all the picks and cap space and such they have, it’s not doing that
