I would appreciate it if the same four or five of you guys would quit shitting on threads trying to get me to leave. It's a waste of space. I'm done with the bullshit and am here to talk football. |

Maybe it is different here, but I thought making a mult after you had been banned and admitting it/getting caught resulted in an IP ban. Is that not the case?

The kid has immediately absorbed two offenses and is an unquestioned leader that values his studies. I think he will be ahead of the NFL curve from the moment he hits the NFL field... because he will have move time to prepare. Especially if he comes to KC, this team has an unreal amount of young talent that I firmly believe will BLOW THE **** UP if we get a LEGIT leader/QB like Smith...especially the skill position guys we have on offense. |

OK GUYS...I know I am a primary culprit here, but can we just ignore cousin it and get back on topic and not let the idiot ruin an otherwise great thread about the future of this franchise?
K thanks. |

Charles is literally being run into the ground. Baldwin has been a bust. Bowe isn't likely to return. Boss is probably done. Moeaki might as well be a double for O'Connell and Breaston may not return. Unfortunately, I think this team is headed for an overhaul in 2013. |

I also think that will lead him to a longer, more productive, career. Hopefully, that's for KC and I'm not wrong. Im currently batting about .500 on QBs Ive backed. |

He is just great, we'll see if he hits a wall or a 2nd year slump kind of like Newton, but wow is RGIII exciting. |

What I REALLY want is a good evaluator of talent (see ya Scotty) to make the pick and get us the best QB in this class and if its Geno great. If not I'm happy. Oh and it took me reading exactly 2 posts from Blackchuck to figure him out. |

I appreciate the opprotunity and I'm no longer concerned with defending myself. I've learned that it's overrated. Quote:

Additionally, I had put BlackBob on ignore. The idiot's mult actually gave me +rep the other day and it showed up blue. That was how I knew for sure.

And on that note, there wasn't anything in Geno's game on Saturday that left me dissuaded about taking him first overall in the draft. WVU was game planned to perfection on Saturday by Snyder/KSU and there was no way anyone was digging themselves out of that hole, especially how WVU's defense was getting torched. Now we really get to see Geno's mettle. See how he handles the team after two straight losses. Personally, I thought he held himself well and showed fire and tried to get the team to stay focused and compete all the way through. |
Sacc has become an entirely new entity...

There are a few thing Smith needs to work on.
The most notable: He holds onto the ball for a really long time. There could be several reasons for that, but either way, it IS an issue that needs to be addressed. |

I heard Trent Green say on the radio today that quarterbacking is completely different when you know you have to score pretty much every time. |
Quote:
Yeah, Smith tried to force it down field too much Saturday. Kstate gameplanned for it and it worked out perfectly for them. Get up early, then force everything short. Once they got up 2 plus scores, it was pretty much over. |

Geno wore his hat backwards. Ryan Leaf wore his hat backwards.
Geno did an absent-minded thing on the sideline. So did Cassel. EVERYBODY RUN AWAY FROM GENO HE'S AN EVIL MIX OF LEAF AND CASSEL!! ...AND JAMARCUS RUSSELL CUZ HE'S ALSO BLACK |

Geno turned into an ordinary QB when he has had to play average Big 12 defenses and he didn't rise to help his team when they need him.
He better pick up the pace if he wants to be a top 2-3 round pick much less a top 3 pick. |

People that are still 10000% on his bandwagon need to take the emotion out of it and think clearly. If he gets back on track, he will be worth taking a shot at. His biggest game to prove himself will be against OU. The have a decent defense with speed. Franchise QB's pull their teams through tough games. Geno appears to be a front-runner QB that sucks ass when things don't go right. At this moment, I would put him in the 2nd-3rd round range. I know, kill myself, chug antifreeze, etc. |

I loved RG the first time I watched him play against KSU. Of course, I watch a lot more Big 12 than......whatever conference WVU came from ;). |

However, there is alot of bad in that tape. First, he really only makes one read 90% of the time. He is really bad at staring WRs down and locking onto them. There really isn't much decision making going on. Their offense is a strict timing offense and when that timing gets disrupted it's pretty much a busted play. When that happens, he just chucks it down the field most of the time with the occassional successful check down. Pro defensive backs are going to eat him alive if he keeps doing that. He makes some terrible decisions. Even when he does have time when the blitz is coming he gets happy feet and is more inaccurate than usual. He can't sell a play action pass for his life. He looks like your average high school QB in that area which is not a good sign because he runs alot of them. The play on the field is worse than I thought and his pocket presence is pretty questionable imo. If he's the best this is a terrible year for QBs. In all honesty, he reminds me of Cassel. Just my ten cents. |

Geno's team isn't as bad as that Miami, OH team, but it's similar. The talent level at OL, RB, and ALL across the defense is putrid, and the coach sucks too. And he's playing good Big XII teams, not teams from the MAC/CUSA/whatever the **** division Miami OH is in. These games mean nothing until Geno Smith starts to get jumpy/nervous when the rush comes at him. Until he starts to churn out INTs with regularity because he's not taking care of the football. Until he starts to show off his inner Cassel. Thus far he's done a good job protecting the football, remaining confident and poised in the pocket, and not letting shit get to him. That's all I need to see out of these games. If he eventually does break through and beat one of these tough teams (i.e. if Dana Holgersen ever stops chugging semen long enough to properly plan out a game) then his #1 overall pick status will immediately come back. For me, I don't think he ever lost it. Again, he's the toughest, smartest, and most talented QB of this class. |
Quote:
Great QB's rise to the challenge and carry their team when things don't go their way. I really hope Geno shows us this against OU. |
He did not look poised the last two weeks.
