I would imagine there are some Cyclone fans dumping tickets tonight.

ISU usually represents well at Sprint, so there should be some tickets out there for folks that want them.

is there really a mizzou ad on the main page of xbox live?

Out of curiosity, did anyone catch the subtle message Haith sent out at the end of the first half with his lineup? (Hint: it had to do with where the game way played).

Were all 5 guys on the floor from the KC area?

I don't remember who was playing, but he's got Denmon, Dixon, Moore, Jones and Sutton.

That's pretty cool. I was watching on a pretty crappy screen at a bar and I was so shocked to see two white guys on the floor in Mizzou uniforms that I didn't even notice who the three regulars were. Good eye.

They were locked with atleast a 2 after the regular season, IMO.

No, but a 1st round loss to OSU could has sent them to a 3. Granted, it probably would've been the 3 in the St. Louis region with something stupid like Ohio State and Michigan State (afterall, evidently the mid-west is the sole purview of B1G teams or some bullshit).

Winning this game should ensure that even with an L in Texas, we still get our bullshit draw with the 2 seed out west.

We're not serious, right?

I mean c'mon - that game was never even close. Even sitting at 17 with 4 minutes left, it was just a matter of running clock.

That was a mauling - stop being spoiled Tigers fans, we have Friday and Saturday to worry about still. No sense in not getting the starters some extra rest.

I was thinking the same thing. Wha-what?

Last night in a Big 12 Tournament quarterfinal that was a bucket of confetti away from a Globetrotters vs. Generals exhibition, Missouri dispatched Oklahoma State 88-70. It wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated.

In three games in the Sprint Center this season, the Tigers have outscored Notre Dame, Cal and OSU by an average of almost 29 points. Unless the semifinals are relocated, Missouri should feel confident in tonight's semifinal against Texas and its handful of fans.

Haith reminded the Tigers before the game how well they played here while winning the CBE Classic in November. The Tigers have five players from the Kansas City area — all from the Missouri side of the border — and last night Kim English declared himself an adopted son. "This is Kansas City, Missouri," said Marcus Denmon, one of the natives.

ROFL from RockMNation.com

Even if we lose, I am glad it's Texas rather than ISU. The Longhorns are playing well, and obviously they gave us a lot of trouble in Austin. So if we're not on our Ps and Qs they can beat us. The difference is that beating Texas is an easy, straightforward baseball metaphor. "The 'Horns are gonna give you a fastball to hit. You have to be ready. They're not trying to fool you." On the other hand, Iowa State defies any single metaphor. The Cyclones are a mixed metaphor. They are all Big 12 defensive end Royce White surrounded by a gaggle of guys committed to putting up 35 collective three-point shots. I'm ready to see them play somebody else. I wanna see the "what the bloody hell?" look on the faces of some unsuspecting team when White flies by their power forward then pancakes the help defender (and then airmails the free throw attempt).

Saul Good 03-09-2012 09:20 AM

There is precisely zero chance that was an accident.

FishingRod 03-09-2012 10:46 AM

You guys looked great jumped out to a big lead and then coasted. Nothing wrong with that.
