Welp, 8 more months until we see the team back in action. So until then I suffer through nothing until the Chiefs startup.

You can root for the Royals also

OK, yes... you have to play these guys but can't you scream at them to go in the ****ing lane and knock them around?

Did WSU just make a million 3's like every other team that beats KU in the tourney? Maybe...

But it simply seemed that Selden didn't care and was half asleep the entire time. He was getting beat by white farm boys. That just can't happen. Not in that environment... not in that spot.

We've watched teams outwork those soft guys all season. WSU doing it was just par for the course. And if Ellis/Selden haven't changed by now, they probably never will.

That's 3 bad losses in the tournament in a row, though.

This isn't exactly a bad loss. Forget the seeds, WSU was just as good as this team if not better during the actual season.

I know. I think I'm more upset now than I was at the end of the game.

I expected to lose this game. But now I'm looking at next year and not seeing a whole lot changing.

They will all be a year older. :D

Only one more year of Perry Ellis as a leader. I think we can get through it.

I have little problem with Perry. He carried us to that Big 12 title this year.

But he cannot do it by himself, clearly. He needs a big body to play opposite of him. And that big body shouldn't be Lucas.

He's a horrible on the ball defender.

This team didn't have the bigs Self needs to be the defensive juggernaut he wants. They also don't have the guards that can penetrate other than Mason...problem is, Mason is just too small and he's not Sherron Collins.

Terrible defensive effort. Ellis can't defend or rebound...never could. But with a gimp knee he's basically a liability on the defensive end.

Kansas got whopped. WSU is the big dog in KS right now. I dont give a shit about admitting that, this was the worst defensive KU team I've ever seen in my lifetime.

Overreact much? This team is way better defensively than almost all of Roy's teams.

Yeah it sucked but WSU beat the worst KU team in a decade. All you morons that want Self gone are epic dumb. Self is the most consistent winter and the best in the post season since Phog.

Silock 03-22-2015 09:02 PM

As good as we are defensively, we are that bad offensively. And we are really only good defensively on the perimeter. Our interior defense is pretty bad.

And credit to him for being a significant part of that at least. Still don't think you can have a leader/primary guy as soft as Perry Ellis is, though, and expect to have all that much success. The team needs him (and Selden for that matter) to have less responsibility than they did this year.

But one or two more years with Frank. I'll be a fan of his for a long time.

Well, less responsibility to lead and play defense. Perry needs an elite defender beside him. I think Mason and maybe even Graham will lead the team. I see a lot of Chalmers in Devonte.

We're still in the running for a few others. Maker isn't my first choice, really. I'd prefer Zimmerman. BUT... Maker is solid, and has a little brother.
