Going to have to trade our players eventually to get some already established prospects. I don't trust Moore in the draft after Colon, Starling, Zimmer, etc.

I'd say he got Zimmer right. Can't predict injuries. When he's pitched, he's looked like a top of the rotation starter.

And Colon didn't pan out as predicted, but he did have the hit that won a World Series... so I'll take it. Especially considering the baseball draft might be the biggest crapshoot of all the sports.

And the hit that tied the WC game, and scoring the winning run.

Plenty of other 1st rounders never make the majors, so Colon is probably a "hit". Wasn't the optimal pick, but there were worse picks in the top 10. That was a 3 man draft at the top (Harper, Taillon and Machado), and we had the 4th pick.

If things work out, the Royals could have three Left Handed Pitchers in their starting rotation in 2017; Duffy, Vargas, and Minor. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

That was also the Chris Sale draft, who the Royals thought long and hard about drafting at #4, but then ultimately decided on Colon. The Sox got him 9 picks later. :doh!:
