With the Royals woes at SP, I wouldn't be surprised if the FO opted to try to retain Volquez. He clearly likes the org and fits in with the clubhouse (Moore would put his TEAMCHEM WAR at 10.0, I'm sure).

Vargas

Take away his start where he gave up 12 ER (which C3HIEF3S and I saw in person) and where is Volquez sitting at this year?

Glad we still have Volquez. Now, we need to lock him up for a couple more years. He's a decent major league starter.....and we need decent major league starters!

I know some peoples reluctance in "taking away starts", but it's an inflated ERA to some degree for sure. He's definitely solid, and a guy I would like to see in the rotation next season. Plus it helps when there are players who show a visible willingness to want to be in KC. Duffy, and now Volquez come to mind.
