Hey Otter, wish you were here.

You didn't get the Winston boo?

I'd love a Winston. My most expensive rod is a St. Croix Avid 6wt., and it isn't very costly. Also have a TFO professional 8wt. and a White River 4wt.

I tried the boo and didn't care for it. The Boron llx had a feel like nothing I have ever used. I should have stayed the hell away from the factory last week. :cuss: I can't wait to put my galvin torque T5 reel on that bad boy. The was my big treat to myself last year. Should be one a hell of a rig.

You suck. :cuss:

Why did you go so light on the rod having to pull them out of that current? What flies you using?

I ****ing hate PA sometimes.

Because I like the feel of this one. I just got off the river after 8 hours and cleaned house. I used caddis, march browns, and Adams. I am headed off to the Long Branch Saloon for a thick steak and some cold brews, after 8 hours in the hot sun, I'm parched. :toast: The work week is over other than driving the 200 miles back to Billing when I get up. Once again Joe, I wish you were here, now I will have to abuse this town by myself. :shake:

Cabo Fishing !!! I used a service www.gotcaughtincabo.com

They were honest guys with a good clean boat. The guy had two cute Retrievers that he took every where. My biggest fish that trip was a
40lb Dorado. I would love to go back and catch a Marlin...someday !

Radar Chief 06-29-2007 09:42 AM

I have caught about 20 marlin in the Cabo area. We have had days where you have 4 guys on the boat and you catch 9 marlin. All released!! I fish out of Palmas De Cortes, in Los Barriles. It's about an hour north of Cabo on the Sea of Cortez side. Cabo is fun, but the fishing is better to the northeast.

No not a tuna. Dorado is Mahi-Mahi in Hawaii, Dolphin fish when fished offshore in Texas and Florida and who knows what other names it has.

Awesome fish bro. I envy you. When I lived in Florida, I used to go on a charter boat every once in awhile. Always the same one. The captain knew where the fish were and they were reasonable in price. I caught some Grouper that made you think you were pulling a refrigerator/freezer combo out of the water. Always on Spanish Sardines. The boat used to have a pool for heaviest fish ($5 to get in). I managed to win it once with a big ass grouper I caught. Those were good times.

Thanks for the heads up. I hope to talk my wife into going there again.
It was fun.

MDRB (Motorcycle Drag Racing Buddy) and I pulled in several cat fish off trot line over the weekend.
Stretched a short line out, only 7 hooks, at a new spot for us on the Neosho River. First night we pulled in a 27 and 33# flat heads, along with another small flat head, a couple of channel and one blue cat. Of the 7 hooks, 6 had fish on them and the perch on the final hook was mauled.
Second night, two more flat heads in the 25# area and the rest of the hooks were stripped.
You can bet we’ll be at that spot again this weekend.
