I already said that I include all common areas in which the public shares, including the common areas within apartment complexes. The virtue is the act of not exposing others to the deadly consequences of your own risky behavior.

The common areas withing apartment and condo complexes are not the issue. The very commonality of living in a complex (whether you rent or own) is the issue.

Common areas within apartment complexes is the issue. Commonality is precisely why we should respect the wishes of others and not intrude upon them. The entire reason states have been forced to take charge is because the tobacco lobby has too much influence on the federal government.

Actually, the odor doesn't bother me as much as the ill-effects. As long as I'm not breathing in smoke, the odor is no more offensive than a shit fart.
