All of this is probably much ado about nothing. Notre Dame in the final hour will probably accept an invitation to the Big Ten giving the conference what it wanted all along.

Yeah, it will suck for Pitt to get left
out at the last second and have to watch ND join Mizzou, Nebraska, Syracuse and Rutgers as the new members of the Big Ten.

Let's be honest - think about this - does the Big Ten ever make catchup moves? It doesn't. It makes bold,
ground-breaking moves. It will
make another one when it expands.

Yeah, but Notre Dame doesn't want to give up their "independent status". As a Notre Dame fan...I'm hoping they just shutup and take the invite.

According to 810whb, the Big 10 initially showed "some" interest in KU but they said they won't go anywhere without KSU.

I don't blame them. If it were UW looking to switch, I'd be upset if they made a move without WSU. You can't walk away from your in state rivals. Good for KU.
