When pressured, behind, and everything looks bad what do YOU do to elevate the team?

In short, that's it.

LEAD THIS TEAM ON THE FIELD.

I don't think Grbac's a real good comparison. Cassel supposedly works extremely hard behind the scenes, is totally a team guy, and it appears that his teammates both like and believe in him, even if we don't.

Whearas with Grbac, well, that dude was a completely self-absorbed dud.

I agree. It doesn't and shouldn't. This is why we need to bring a higher-upside player through the draft. But I'm fine with using Cassel for exactly what he's capable of being, a decent stopgap.

And I agree with keg about the Grbac comparison. Grbac was more physically talented, whereas Cassel appears to be a much better teammate.

Again, let's not compare Cassel to Grbac.

4,000 yards? Ha!

Bowser 01-22-2011 01:58 PM

This thread entertains. Keep up the good work, everyone.

There's that, too.

If you could install Cassel's brain into Grbac's body you'd have the Randy Moss of pocket passers.

(Although I think I'd want to give Crasselbac Cassel's mobility, if we can go into full frankenstein mode)

Cassel is definitely the kind of guy we could "Dilfer" if everything else went well.

I don't say that because he's less than an all pro, I say it because below average teams can COMPLETELY (100 passing yards or less) shut him down.

He is all or nothing...

+ Trent Green's heart, to ensure that Crasselbac doesn't piss himself at the hint of pressure.

More laughable bullshit.

Shocker though that White Whitlock would just look at the 4k though.

As long as you don't drop the heart jar and end up putting an Abnormal heart in there. Or even worse, Damon Huard's.

You know, Grbac might have been worse at the whole curl up in a ball thing, though, thinking back. Dude had some decent lines around him...

The best part of him was when he'd throw a pick and then feign an injury.

He is the object of my every football hate and as such, I will enjoy hating him immensely.
Oh well, nothing new to see in KC. Move along people, move along...

Last off-season it was this was a 4-12 team even after the schedule came out. Then after the Seattle game it was "he's the new messiah". This board is so over the top reactionary that it's comical.

You enjoy hating him immensely. He actually played well when you hated him. It was only when you jumped the fence did he go downhill.

I actually blame you.

The Bad Guy 01-22-2011 02:04 PM

It's pretty ****ing sad though that we have fans that will hate Cassel immensely, but literally be happy when the player they wanted to draft does well in the playoffs.

Didn't he have a 500+ yard game in a blowout against the Raiders? That skews the stats, especially since he couldn't seem to find the endzone.

The Bad Guy 01-22-2011 02:05 PM

And Girlback also just threw all game and the running game wasn't ever a factor.

Chiefs fans have been brutal on every quarterback they've ever had not named Dawson or Montana. It's crazy.

Whut?

Cassel never did.

Girlbac blew up the Falcons, I think. Pretty sure it was an nfc team...
