I think he's assuming that we lose out the rest of the season and end up with the 6th pick overall.

Earlier in his career he was asked to be a game manager by the Bears and to dink and dunk. His MO was that he had a weak arm. My feeling on this...
Kyle Orton is a SIGNIFICANT upgrade over Matt Cassel. Hard to believe anyone would suggest they're even close to the same QB. And I think he got royally screwed in Denver.

He isn't a long-term answer.

I'm very happy with this move if it means he's a stopgap to a QBOTF that we draft next year. I hope and expect our front office is smarter than that.
