You're not an asshole. If this worked for you, great! Well done.
You dont have to cut out sugar to lose weight.
An old friend of mine lost 125lbs by eating a Subway foot long everyday along with Slimfast shakes.
He walked 5-10 miles a day during the week, then 15-20 miles on weekends.
Sundays he ate whatever he wanted.
He has kept it off.
