First thing that comes into your head when winning the conference is "**** KU"?

K-State just won a share of the Big 12 for the 1st time since 2013 and what do they immediately do? Start chanting “F*%k KU”. Is KU not their most hated rival....has KU not won the damn league for 14yrs in a row? Id be yelling **** KU too if I was a KSU fan...no shame in that. It happens. |

We almost got in trouble, because we made a sign to try and recruit Shabazz Muhammad. He was the number 1 high school player at the time and on his official visit. Good times. |

They are a rival. Get their face pushed in all the time, for years. They deserve to gloat.
The KU players that come back next year and the coaches need to hear that. They don't own K-State anymore. Better get your act together next year and put them in their place. |

I saw this yesterday and thought about posting but decided not to waste time on those fools. |

They won the league. I’d talk shit too.
(Diff for us, we’ve won it 1/2 the time in our 125 years.) |

It is a difference in mind set. No matter what they say to the contrary, the purple pussies first priority is beating KU because they so rarely do. KU has loftier goals and since it is more often than not something KU does, beating K-State just isn't as big of a deal.

chanting anything with vulgarities isn't particularly classy, but these are college kids... side note, when is the last time KSU was ranked above KU in the polls? Has to have been a while.... |

KU then went on to sweep K State later, so it didn’t last too long. That’s the most recent that I can think of though. |

When you think about it KU basketball is a lot like Charisa Thompson. Kinda hot and definitely famous but at the end of the day they play with their collective pussies at work way too much. It’s true.

I remember that chant from when I was still there, and I graduated in 2010. I once yelled "rip their fing dicks off" because I was drunk and thought it was funny. the frat bois behind me thought it was pretty funny too. I'm an idiot when I'm drunk. |

With all due respect to the storied history and tradition of University of Kansas basketball, the redheaded step child was a better team this year. The Big XII trophy does not belong to KU. It's up for grabs every year. This was not KU's year. KU will be favored to win next year, and more than likely they'll win it again. So just chill out Jayhawk fan. Let your local neighbors relish in their triumph.... they don't get to experience this very often. Besides there's a tournament coming where KU can redeem themselves

Your team was better, you'll get plenty of confirmation from KU fans, despite how mind bogglingly stupid your coach is. But your team blew plenty of shots too. They should have had it outright. |
Dude, I don't have time to read all of it. I was born in Lawrence, attended both KU & KSU, and have a kinship with both schools. I just feel like Jayhawk fan feels like it's their birthright, and therefore looks down on K-staters as undeserving. That's the feeling I got from what I read. I say good luck to both teams. ps: I used to do some pheasant hunting south of Scott near Dry Lake.....good times!

Anyone ready for KCC to post his scare tactics again this March, where he shows the KenPom data for our next opponent and one great thing they do which *CAN*** hurt us?

How much does your opinion of this year's team change if they screw around and somehow win the Big XII tourney? or lose a close one in the championship game? For me, I could care less, I would consider an acceptable end to this season making the second weekend of the big tournament....but I could see a first round exit just as easy....*sigh.

KU just couldn't overcome the amount of adversity they faced this yr, very little to no bench support. Loss of Doke really hurt this team...it's forced KU to play small, and they don't have the offensive firepower to play small and play the track meet game. This team can't play on the road. AWFUL. This team can't shoot themselves out of offensive funks like teams in the past. They are terrible from downtown, and the loss of Vick (say what you will about the guy - when he was on, he was ON) makes it that much worse. Many times this team is terrible in half court O. They might win their first rd matchup in the NCAA...probably will lose their 2nd. I'd be surprised if they make S16. |

My favorite stat about the streak:
Bill Self won the Big 12 2 more times during the streak than Coach K has won the ACC in his entire tenure at Duke. |

This year, they simply aren't very good... no need to cherry pick reasons why Kansas is practically guaranteed to lose every game (not to mention that it's pointless to over analyze matchups in a single elimination tournament anyway). |

Uhhhh, you’re right let’s not live in the past. KU’s past Big12 titles aren’t worth talking about. All that matters is the here and now. How’d the Hawks do this year? Soul crushed by Tech and KSU I believe. Let’s talk about that. |

Actually, I appreciate the honest evaluation. What KU has managed to do in the Big12/10 the past decade plus is impressive. Injuries, early graduation and the occasional flakey player are all part of the game so that shouldn’t be used as an excuse. Happens to everyone. Eligibility? That’s on KU’s program and Self... bad call. Good luck in the tournament... if they draw a Mid-major with a B in their name look out!😁 |

Not sure if this is news or if already known.
https://www.aseaofblue.com/2019/3/14...fib-corruption But according to Jerry Meyer of 247 Sports, Self may have, supposedly, been involved in something even more juicier; getting some cash to former five-star and Kansas player Billy Preston. “Through the intel I’m gathering, one of the things they’re worried about with Kansas is the FBI thing. What’s going to happen? There’s a chance Bill Self is going to be subpoenaed and testifying,” Meyer said. “Who knows where this stuff could go? They even said in court that Self was involved with a money transaction with Billy Preston.” Preston was withheld from playing in any games with the Jayhawks last season after a car accident that then raised questions about Preston’s eligibility. There is no evidence that this has happened, and it’s all just hearsay at the moment. The saving grace for the Jayhawks, however, is that Preston did not play last season, so their Final Four would be kept in-tact. But because Silvio De Sousa was part of the scandal and played in the NCAA Tournament, that banner already looks like it could come down. I hate articles like these, dunno if just click bait...they say all of this crap and then end it w/ "While there's no evidence...." |
Tech just pulled off what had to be the most predictable comeback of all time

Welp, this is interesting now.
