On the other hand, if he declines the QO, that means a team signing him would have to give up their first-round pick, which could hurt his market. He might even be left hanging until June, when the pick expires, just like Kendrys Morales.

Wonder if he'd be extended...I don't see how he declines 17 mill...royals would love that

AND IMO, I don't really think it mattered WHO you put on the field this season... the guys on this team don't have the desire and passion to work as hard for another championship. They got their ring...
Tell me you see the same passion as last year when you see them take the field.

The results from this season have nothing to do with the fans' perceived passion shown by the players on the field. Nothing has changed in that clubhouse from last season.

What we should be looking at and considering instead is the 2 extra months of play over the last two years, coupled with the injuries sustained this year from the start. Also, the shitty starting pitching.

It isn't a 4A lineup, it's a lineup of experienced players that are playing like shit.

They are playing like a 4A lineup.

I saw some quit in Texas, but I think they have just bitten by the injury bug on some bad luck (Moose) and some 2014, 2015 catching up to them. I think guys like Gordon and Escobar are close to being done and when I say done I mean as in all star players.

Al Bundy -
Seeing quit in the Royals every time they are behind since 2006.

Now, as seen by my response to the butthurt KCConnection about us being the best AL team for 3 years, I'm not a troll. With that: where was my question answered?

Can you show me where Pecota predicted the substantial injuries to our roster? If so I'll be like, super impressed.

JFC, why do people ruin threads by falling for PB's bullshlt and responding?

Im pretty sure every player is banking on getting a longer deal, with all the money being thrown around. 1/17 is great but most players seem to be taking the chance on getting something like 3/40.

I'll play along. PECOTA had Cain at 3.5 war and he's at 2.0, so roughly on pace - plus Dyson filled in fine for him interim. It had Moose at only 1.4 and Cuthbert will do that so no loss there. Gordon was at 3.5 but he's been shit before and after being hurt so him sucking resulted in an over-estimate on their part. Davis just got hurt so he played most of the year this far as did Hoch.

Thus, our injuries didn't affect their 76 win projection.

Rangers get Lucroy and Jeremy Jeffress. Nice.

Texas is now the favorite in the AL.
