Any other player but Duffy and I would say no, because he's nearing payday.

But it's Danny Duffy and he has always exclaimed his love for the team and the city. If I was a betting man, I would bet anyone money that Duffy has an extension before spring training 2017.

Yes. He's always been open to it.

Would make sense from the team side if it can find a way to run a low 2017 salary for him and free up funds for the rest of the team.
