Cant go to the well too often.

But we sure could have mixed in a draw or something. No reason to stop working in a run here and there once we got in the red zone. We had plenty of time plus two times out.

The overreaction will be hilarious, but the reality is this game opened some possibilities for KC. They gave up 500 yards while without a top tier OLB, literally gave 7 points away early, had some terrible calls against them (the grounding likely cost them 3), dropped MULTIPLE 20+ yard passes, and still lost by just 7 - to the best QB and arguably best team in the league - falling a few yards short at the end.

In short, this game showed me they could go to Indy and win. In fact, I've really no doubt whatsoever they could win that game if played tomorrow. We'll see in a couple weeks I guess? Last week was different because they played worse against a much worse team.

Correction. Best QB in the league. Not the best team in the league.

I really can't believe the people going after Smith here when Avery dropped 4 passes equating roughly 70-80 yards & Cooper giving up all 92 yards on one TD drive.

I actually disagree with that. Denver has Manning, and the league's rules make Manning unbeatable. You could put Manning on the Jaguars and they would be 10-2. Nothing else matters any more, which is ruining the sport.

Without Manning, the Broncos are a 5-11 team tops.

Whatever. We can't get it done. If it's all about one goddam player, we are NOT a ****ing Superbowl team. I'm so ****ing pissed to see this. We are NOT...good enough. Again. ****!

texaschiefsfan 12-01-2013 06:54 PM

The only chance this team has to win games at this point is just to hope the other team makes a lot of mistakes. The Broncos made a few mistakes today, but not enough to put us over the top.

Chiefs Pantalones 12-01-2013 06:54 PM

That last play looked creepily similar to the one against Denver in 97. This team always ****ing fails me. ****ing losers.

The concerning thing, based on how the Chiefs have allocated their payroll and draft picks/free agency is that the defense is supposed to be the strength of this team.

Mellinger from the KC Star recently wrote that the Chiefs spend the second highest % of their payroll, in the NFL, on defense.

Obviously the Chiefs are not getting a return on their investment.

great point. I agree.

Curious for someone to take the time to breakdown Fisher's play at LT...

I'm not going to get a chance to rewatch this game soon.

293 yards and 2 TDs is still a good performance. So now our standards changed? How many great 25+ yard passes were dropped? 4? 5?

Lets count dropped pass yardage while we are at it.

When you're playing bad defenses, offensive standards do change.

While true I hate being the team that let Eric Decker beat them. You put any QB with an accurate deep ball back there and we would've given up the game.

Well look at it this way....

Yea you got beat but... It's very hard to beat a team 3 times in a row in the same season.. So the 3rd time may be the charm for you...

Yall played a good game... No Shame

LMAO like we will get to play them a 3rd time
