I guess that makes Orlando your 4th Ofer and Dyson back to late inning stolen base weapon.

Orlando has the highest batting average on the team. He has around the same at bats as Cain and Cuthbert. More at bats than Gordon, Merrifield, Dyson, and Colon. It seems like they look for ways to take him out of the lineup? I'm not a baseball expert but I don't understand.

Royals Fan has been trying to replace Orlando all season.

Stop me at Keitzman and the phrase "pretty spot on".

How'd he meander off topic and end up talking baseball in between hocking cookie diets and BBQ tips that are infomercials for Smoke n Fire?

You mean Kiki STILL has a radio show in this town?!

That people actually listen to ?!!!!!

Orlando is a fine fourth OF type but is an "empty BA" hitter - he's hitting .283 in the past two months but has just a .669 OPS in that time frame.

He's not a particularly great fielder, though he's OK. He's not a particularly great base runner, though he's OK (and lightning fast on extra base fits as a runner or hitter). He doesn't hit for power and he doesn't get on base.

I think the team is just realistic about what he is.

Since the PECOTA thing wasn't properly fleshed out, let's try again - only with the whole roster included. Here is the 2016 WAR differential vs 2015:

Cain: -4.7
Hoz: -3.5
Moose: -3.1
Gordon: -2.9
Young: -2.3
Morales: -2.2
Escobar: -2.1
Ventura: -2.1
Volquez: -1.2
Davis: -1.2
Medlen: -0.5
Dyson: -0.3
Orlando: -0.3
Colon: -0.3

Hochevar: 0.1
Sal Perez: 0.6
Butera: 0.7
Cuthbert: 0.7
Herrera: 1.1
Duffy: 1.6

The takeaway is blinding: practically the whole team got worse, and in some cases significantly. This isn't driven by injuries. While there is some time left to close the WAR gaps, it could easily go the other way as well.

If/when it happens, it's to save wear and tear on his legs.

He owns a stake in the company. All the job security necessary to make sure he keeps his show.

.

I'm more interested in KC's attendance and local ratings this season. Can you provide those?
