this team looks like dog shit.

the offense is just about as awful as I've seen. can't run the ball at all, and every pass attempt turns into a scramble or sack.

I think he will be. Right now, he's good but he still plays like a freshman at times. He still needs work on reading the blitzes. I guess that's normal for a freshman (redshirt).
